Welcome to A & B Dog Walking and Pet services! Our mission is to keep your dogs healthy and pets cared for while you are busy or away. We offer affordable services and accommodate flexible schedules whenever you need an extra hand.

About Us
We are a small business based out of Halifax, Nova Scotia run by myself, Brett, and my partner, Alex. As passionate animal lovers with extensive experience owning, walking, and caring for dogs, cats, guinea pigs, snakes and more, we are dedicated to providing the best care for your pets. We do this through neighbourhood walks and adventures around our local parks as well as at-home check-ins, pet sitting and boarding. We are a registered, fully insured team that will provide love and keep every member safe is if they are our own.

Free Consultation
Our virtual consultations let us discuss your dogs personality, walkability, and reactivity toward other dogs. We will then be able to determine if they are more suited to private dog walks or pack walks if they are a service of interest to you. We want to become well acquainted with you as well to develop a high level of trust and understanding by answering any questions you may have. We look forward to meeting you!
Standard Dog Walking
$25
Away or busy and need to give your doggo some love and exercise? We come to your home within HRM and take your dog on a stroll around your neighborhood for 30-45 minutes. We work on leash skill training while letting your dog have a mentally stimulating sniff around the block.
Pack Walks
$25
Give your dog a chance to meet new lifelong friends! On our pack hikes, we pick up your dog in and around south end Halifax and go on a 1-hour adventure through the neighbourhood. These outings allow for important social interaction and are guaranteed to release all that pent up energy so your dog can relax at home.
Stop-ins and Potty Breaks
$15+
Away from your home and need to give some food, water or love to your fur baby? We can stop by and make sure your dogs and other small animals are happy and cared for. This includes changing litter and watering plants if you need an extra hand. Cost is based on proximity.
Pet Boarding
$60/day
If you have to leave for any length of time we also offer pet boarding at our home in Hubley, NS. We will discuss their feeding, walking, sleeping, medication, etc. arrangement so we can maintain their routine. We promise to send you daily updates and make your dogs are as comfortable as possible with lots of love and attention!

FAQs

-We do pack walks in Point Pleasant Park.
-Private walks are done around your neighborhood in the Halifax Regional Municipality.
-Pet sitting and check-ins are done in your home.

-We require all dogs to be fully vaccinated and good with other dogs as well as on leash. We do free consultations to assess temperament and ask that every dog owner complete a pack assessment form to better group our members based on size and energy level so your dogs have the best hike experience.

-For private dog walks we will agree on a 2-hour window when one of our dog walkers will pick up your dog. If possible we will get a key from you and be able to come while you are at work and of course, send you updates along the way.
-Pack walks are daily from (approx.) 9am-11am.

We take a maximum of 5 dogs per dog walker. This ensures we have control and can keep your dogs safe.

Unless we are absolutely sure that they have good recall and have discussed and agreed on it with you, we keep them on leash to ensure we bring them home to you safe and sound.

Free cancellations up to 24 hours in advance and a charge of 50% if cancelled within 24 hours billed during the next booking.
